Shenmue is such an amazing game for what it did back in the day, and it still is, it's a goodman breath of fresh air from all these shooters that have come out recently. I still remembered when you walk out of the hazuki residence for the first time and your walking through sakuragaoka and the first FREE song starts to play, I knew I was in for such a special game.
People complain about Sony not showing many first party games at e3...they don't need to. They have a commanding lead, they have more first party support than ever before, and their games have quality.
No need to show games that are currently ovulating, especially after they secured and brought back hugely requested ips that good back for more than a decade... Those 3 megatons still have me of my chair.
more like a continuation. Shenmue was supposed to be 5 games long originally.

yea some people just love to complain as well. i really dont mind this game being digital or going both ways. We've waited a long time for this game to happen. Im happy just to have it on my HDD. of course a physical release will be great as well.
but i do beleive that will happen just because of the pace this kickstarter is getting.
i believe with how this kickstarter is going right now, i can see a physical release looming.
it doesnt take 2 million to develop this game, they are getting their funding from someone else who probably agreed to fund if people show their interest by funding the kickstarter at least.

Well seeing how quickly they funded that kickstarter, I think eventually it could happen. Important part is to get it to the highest selling platform.

It's a proof of concept.... When this game gets funded, it's gonna look completely different by launch.
I think when this gets fully funded (minimum and stretch goals), sega will probably become completely active in trying to cut the red tape and get an hd collection out.
Making a movie of What transpired in past events of the game doesn't help to experience what Shenmue is all about.
