This is obvious right now... many profitable regions don't have reliable internet or internet is blocked/throttled by governments.
I personally enjoy the detail, the concept, the pace, and so far the story. Not sure why it's getting so much criticism, other than a few post-launch control issues that will most likely be dialed in during upcoming patches. My review would be titled "Right Game, Wrong Time." I feel if a realistic western movie, or tv series had been currently popular in other media... this game would be more universally acclaimed. To illustrate my mindset, Trevor in GTA V and Breaking Bad,...
The first 3-4 hours were a bit off for me... but once I got through the first "main event" that set up the plot, i got the feeling the intro hours were just a long prologue-type setup teaching gameplay mechanics. I'm not sure what I'd rate it at this point, but after about 8 hours I find that I'm enjoying it much more than I did when I first started playing.
Something tells me the Leslie Benzies situation will delay both Red Dead and GTA VI for a WHILE unfortunately
I think the industry can see rapid advancement in VR coming and coming quickly. Hardware will need to keep up, so they're training us to go on a cellphone like structure (except bi-annual) with a console launch - 2 yrs - mid console improvement - 2 yrs - new console. Will be good for gamers but they're going to need to keep pricing under control. At these prices which are approx half of "top brand"cellphone costs, consoles can continue to thrive and battle the all-in-on...
No offense but your business sense isn't very smart. You're definitely thinking with your heart and not your head. Unfortunately video games, while art, just like music it's still a business.
How can you say that a company choosing low risk/high profit, over creativity is going to be their downfall?
Business will always thrive with a low risk/high profit model. It may not suit YOU, but it will be just fine for Konami.
Would much rather an HD updated version of Vice City or something in South America in the series. Let's get back to the tropics and major drug cartel action
It's pretty logical in business that a competitor might have a better month...can they do it consistently is the real question. More importantly you also have to look at the life cycle of a product. If there's any statistical time to look at this "console war", it'll be on January 1st once the holiday sales and entire year is taken into account. Then again at the end of next year. Looking at one month sales is insignificant.
Whether you like Facebook or not... It would be pretty cool to interact with people over the internet in VR.
Xray Vision
Oh I almost forgot and they make it very easy to sell through the Xbox Live store, and they support indie developers with a bit more help than Sony. I don't think that No Goblin has any choice but to say it's an appealing platform for developers "LIKE THEM". Now for serious studios I'd venture to say PS4 get's an all around thumbs up.
Great so indie developers who can't push the limits of the console due to budgets really like the weaker machine that's mildly easier to program for. Nice how much did MS pay for this one?
Is this a confirmation that GTAV is for sure coming out on next gen and PC? I hope so...
Never played an RPG before except the old Fallout. Absolutely enthralled with this game. 170hrs in. The author has a big point... I'm already planning on Disco Elysium next
