Thanks Jim, hope you enjoyed it :)
Saw Scorpion's fatality recently at Armageddon expo and loved it! So gruesome and over the top! Really looking forward to Mortal Kombat X. The gameplay that I played was excellent and loved the gruesome damage cutscenes that appear mid fight when someone pulls off a big move, reminds me of bullet cam from Sniper Elite
Excited to see how the finished product turns out. It certainly looks like a step in the right direction for the Franchise and visually very impressive.
That takes me back to a simpler time in gaming and also reminds me of having a tv with a "band-aid" X on the side that you used to have to hit to get the tube to work
no was playing on XB1, maybe it live was having issues. Not dissing the game at all I think it's an amazing FPS multiplayer game just last time I played I honestly struggled to get into a game
I didn't realise there were that many people still playing Titanfall to warrant a new mode, I'll have to go back and check it out then. Last time I played it was like a graveyard and struggled to find enough people to play with, maybe I just logged in at the wrong time.
Agreed Sigfredod, some of them mean well but are pretty poorly made at times.
Agreed, it would be fantastic to see another installment.
Totally agree Tom, the positives far out weigh the downsides and I'd rather have those problems and get the codes than not receive anything at all or not be in the gaming business.
Very good piece and highlights the real truth behind what it's like to be in the Games Journalism business. I think a lot of people think it's all glamour and review codes but there is more news to report on than there are codes for reviews. Spot on about how everything changes when you go from just playing to reviewing. You lose that control over what games you play and with deadlines involved often you have to put down a game you love, to give a game you might not normally enjoy you...
Obviously a clear case of rushing the review, not a good look for polygon, I'd much rather a review take longer to publish if it means the game is covered in greater depth, that's basically my philosophy when I review a game. This sort of thing is a prime example of why publishers put embargo's on reviews, to stop the practice of giving incomplete reviews just to be one of the first to get the review out to the world.
racing fans are in for a treat with so many quality racing games to choose from and this is looking like another one to add to the list
Looking forward to this one. Played a demo at Digital Nationz and enjoyed it, loved riding the Elephant!
This game is looking fantastic from what I've seen so far, have high hopes that this is going to be a defining moment for the future of wrestling games
I thought the same thing too starchild. Could be one of those things that takes a little while to get used to but once you do it opens the world right up.
A perfect score to me doesn't have to mean a perfect game especially when dealing with the 5 or 10 point rating system. A score out of 100 is a completely different story and only a "perfect game" would warrant a 100 which is near impossible to create.
To me 5/5 or 10/10 doesn't mean perfect it just means that the game is the new reference standard for it's genre, it may have some minor flaws but overall it brings something new to the genre, redefines i...
Very surprised by this. One of the biggest things Ubisoft have been talking up is the fluidity and freedom of control so to have it labelled clumsy is a massive surprise for me. Maybe that's why there have been so few playable previews available at Expo's.
To be honest really don't know if it's going to be that gory, it's only rated R13 here in New Zealand so if it were that bad then it would have been given a higher rating like R16 or R18
Agreed, nothing wrong with a bit of retro gaming every now and again. We sometimes get so caught up in the hype of the AAA titles that we forget about the gems that are out there and just as entertaining as the big boys, in some cases more so.
Really?! I live in NZ and I've never heard anyone use FTW in that way before. I must roll in the wrong circles.
