You aren't the only one who owns a Wii U. There are plenty of people who haven't played every first party Nintendo title on the GameCube.

It's been out for 18 months. It is selling really well at the moment. Who is to say its fortunes can't improve from here?

Watch_Dogs is similar in a lot of ways to recent GTA games. A lot of the in-game mechanics, excluding hacking, were done in GTA first. That's a reality you should come to terms with.
I will say that, while I dig the hacking,Watch_Dogs takes itself way too seriously. That would be fine if the story and characters weren't paper-thin, but such is not the case.
