i think personally developers are playing it clever, they know the generation of the 90s have jobs and are likely to be working, so if they target them they can make more revenue then target younger generation who have no idea about these games.

It clearly going to happen, Sony released the first 4K screen phone - the Z5 Premium (not to confuse with the LG G3 that was QHD), it makes sense for them to use the same "components" to get into 4K Gamaing ASAP. Simple fact is, that when Oculus Rift, the HTC Rive and all other VR competitors enter the game officialy, Sony will be long into releasing 4K content. It will dominate the 4K industry with ease and will be the clear winner.
In my time before the PlayStation we only had PCs to play games and it wasnt networked. My favourite game ever was one on a PC titled "Ultima Underworld". It was a 3D role playing game that at its time was the peak in the industry. But then we had a flurry of games like Doom, Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein. The Playstation did take a chunk of the PC market when it was released and I have NEVER been able games properly on a PS controller and can only play these games on a mouse. So inventio...
