If Sony had charged for their online service, not included the built in wifi, or blue tooth then dropping the price would make sense. Xbox is capable of doing so only because they make up the discount with add ons (wifi, hddvd, etc) people end up purchasing and the XBL service you end up paying for. we'll be spending our time on REAL progressive video games like LBP, R2, Wipeout HD.
There will be plenty of games this fall to wipe the floor with this hand me down cheaply ported version of Bioshock. There's no reason to waste time comparing the xbox to ps3 version. I'll just be happy spending my time enjoying the ground breaking graphics and gameplay of Resistance 2, LBP, Wipeout.
So there's no need to get down. Just spend your money on worthy games due to come out.

I have to say Mr Price did not disappoint. This looks insanely impressive and by the sounds of it is offering more on a disc than most other console games do. Again reinforcing the whole value concept of the PS3. Loving the update. Just another feather in the PS3's cap along with the free online, wifi, bluray... The author of this article seriously is over reacting and is looking for any excuse to pronounce this console dead. Screw him. What should be applauded is Sony's quick reaction and their willingness to fix it.
according to VGChartz this game has already sold 760,000 units world wide. That's pretty damn impressive considering it VGChartz.
