Same thing happened with Gears last time.
"It won't ever come out on PC we swear."
...
"Oh btw it's out on PC now, with extra content you can't get on the xbox version. Sorry for the wait."
The only thing you'll get from using your games console to work out is RSI. There is no secret to being healthy and in shape, you just need a balanced diet and to do interval cardio to burn off the excess.
Fitness gaming is just exploiting the fact that many gamers are couch potatoes, and some of them are self conscious enough to fall for this scam. Probably the same people with a butterfly vibrator strapped to their abs while they swallow liquid meals in a weight watchers carton...
And Foxconn is a knock-off Foxhound?
Yeah, that's what the full article says. Phasing out the 80GBs for the 160GBs, clearing that stock, then price cuts, then we're told the PS3 Slim will hit.
"The Little Black Box That Could"?
The slim model of the PS2 stormed through sales in Japan, just like the Wii did. They like their small consoles, what can you do? Sony has to up their sales somehow.
As we comment in pretty much every article recently, Sony are more about the mass market than the hardcore gamer. That doesn't mean they're bad at making games consoles, that means that if there was a market for it, your games console would wash your dishes.
Well, our source claims that the insider they got the information from is well known for breaking these stories, but must be posted as a rumour as they can't post his/her name for credibility. If they outed the source, there'd be no more exposure.
Sorry about that. To clarify, they say it's been confirmed by an insider source, but because they can't reveal the name, they have to publish it as if it's a rumour.
So it has been confirmed, if you trust the source.
I don't agree with this article. I don't see why people are going on about a price drop anyway.
In our article today ( http://www.n4g.com/ps3/News... ) we took a look at what makes the PS3 an all around beast of an entertainment system. Compared to buying all that stuff stand-alone, you're getting it all in one single console, with developments to PSN and possible new firmware in the near future.

^ Check out the full article and you'll see all factual the reasons this comment is wrong, on this topic anyway.
We're not saying the PS3 is the better games console than the Xbox, or even the Wii, or any other console. That is purely personal opinion and so a detail like that is based on customer feedback.
Read the synopsis and the full article again and you'll see we're talking about the PS3 as a total package, all-in-one entertainment centre, which actually makes ...
There was a point when the orient, especially Japan and China, had no designs of their own. Because the superpower countries at the time started outsourcing to these countries for cheap labour, they took the designs for products and started copying them. Eventually, they used this knowledge and experience to develop great products.
It is very rare that something is actually a brand new idea or invention. Most ideas we have are recycled from many things we've taken in, consciously...
It's not posted under news, it's posted under articles. It's a new article based on stuff we already have in the hardware plus the new peripheral extensions, what we know's coming and the major PSN updates, and educated speculation on what's yet to come, such as Sky for the PS3, not just the PSP.
Some of the source stories used were published earlier today, just before this one was.
Yeah, but PSN is free, unlike XBL.
1080p is just a resolution, to be honest. Bitrates are also key to quality.
Blu-ray bitrates usually range from around 20Mbps to a max of 40Mbps. That's astonishingly good considering that most HD streams are between 4Mbps and 9Mbps. Now take into consideration that the max bitrate for a standard DVD is 9.8Mbps
The fact that the Xbox can stream 1080p means nothing compared to the PS3 playing blu-ray discs. And anyway, where are you getting those movies/box-sets avail...
That last bit about Sky was speculation on this article, seeing as we were talking about the PSP with remote play and PlayTV already - saying that surely it would drop for the PS3 soon too. Nothing has been confirmed on that yet, though.
It was just a quick connection while we were on the mention of the PSP, and potential updates in the future.
@Greywulf: I like all consoles. I still like my dusty old megadrive (Streets of Rage, anyone?). But this article takes a look at the PS3 as an all in one media centre, rather than just a games console.
In this article, we're looking at value for the average tech consumer, not the hardcore console gamer.
@Percy: Yeah, see, it's more of a proof issue than just not willing to do anything about it. Just like some stores won't exchange goods if you can't produce a reciept.
Either console can get developers to make exclusive games that can rule out these comments with the release of some new games. Besides, reviews of games are subjective -- one man's trash and all that. This article is more about the extra value that is brought to the table as an entertainment centre, rather than just being a games console.
@ApocalyPS3: Well said, but if the mass target audience can't afford a PS3 anyway, and they're behind in the sales compared to their main competition - in some cases a third of the sales that their competitors make - surely a price cut is an option they should consider.
Otherwise they may be riding their own boat until it sinks, and this playstation author doesn't want to go down with the ship!
Torres and Messi signed up to Pro Evo 2010 in late June, so I doubt they can sign with the competition also! ( http://www.psbeyond.com/new... )
