This reminds back to the original playstion. Sega tried launching early with the Saturn in the summer of 95 to beat Sony to launch. But it backfired greatly, causing lots of confusion for customers and retailers alike. They didn't have enough time to market it and had very little stock to begin with. Now valve is trying the same thing. I doubt it'll work any better for them.
MGS never used cgi. It's always ran off the in game graphics engine. Although I'm sure we probably saw a high end pc version on spike, it still always runs off actual graphics regardless. Kojima has never used cgi for cut scenes in MGS. The new fox engine is just very impressive as you can see.

There was a very similar article recently saying the same thing. And it was about this same topic on free to play games on ps3.
I think the vita will get one but not those same quality graphics from that trailer. It would obviously have to be downgraded. Similar to need for speed most wanted that came out. The vita version looks nice but it has alot of downgrading and objects missing from the console versions like buildings and detailed rock formations missing. But again, I know a vita MGS game could work. Just not the same console graphics we saw in that trailer last week on spike.
I will probably be trading my wiiu and ps3 towards a ps4 next year. And buy 3 or 4 of the best games on launch. Haven't cared for xbox since the original xbox. But im very curious about this steam box thing. It could launch with a half life HD set of hl1 and hl2 and then have half life 3 possibly a year later or even better, launch HL3 with the steam box. That would be a killer launch.
If ps4 and 720 actually produce graphics close to this, I'm afraid wiiU will be dead once the industry sees they can achieve visuals of this level. I hope not since I love my wiiU but wow what a gap in power this will be between them. I'm both sad and excited for next gen now.
How? We have no firm release date, price, confirmed specs, launch game lineup, or anything yet and probably won't until the companies reveal at e3. I can't wait for next gen to start but putting an article like this is kinda dumb when we haven't even seen either console yet.
Motion control is mostly just a gimmick. It's fun in a few games but it should never take the spot of a dedicated controller. Never.
I really want a vita but most devs seem to be avoiding it lately and putting their games on the 3ds. Although I wish Sony would contract one of their smaller devs like sanzaru games to make a new jak and daxter for the vita after they finish the new sky copper game. I would buy one as soon as I heard that news. Or something equally exciting!

Naruto is so lame. He was amazing tho before this shippuden bs. Got I hate the direction the show took after the time skip. Plus I always wished toei was the animator for it rather than Pierrot. Toei is better at animating fluid fight scenes and amazing camera angles.
