You guys need to also try the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series. They are really amazing.
You talk to npc's, upgrade equipment (by solving puzzles though, rather than leveling up), you have a currency system (rupees), and you have to conquer dungeons.
Sounds like an RPG to me.
Westerners getting too lazy to get up and change the disc.
Xenoblade, FF Type 0, Zelda U, Witcher 3, Banner Saga 2, Persona 5, God's Eater 2, etc is why 2015 is the comeback year for RPG's!
Xbone gamers will have even more time to watch it as opposed to Ps4, Wii U and 3ds gamers on account of how many awesome exclusives are coming to those consoles this year. Xbox One doesn't seem to have much going for it except for yet another Halo.
What do you mean by arena maps?
By the way, Uncharted 2 had the best and most balanced maps I've ever seen in a game aside from Metal Gear Online (ps3). Uncharted 3 maps felt like they were not designed for multiplayer. Too many dead-ends, and long corridors in some other maps.
Just curious why you'd buy both digital and physical. Will the physical you buy be a special collectorrs version?
Also I might buy the ps3 version along with the must-have (for me) ps4 version since many of my MGO buddies probably still didn't get a ps4.
This game has so much crammed into it:
Kojima (throughout the years) has mentioned/hinted that the game will have:
-Co-op (like Peace Walker)
-A level editor (or mission editor to make/share user missions)
-Metal Gear Online 3
-An already massive open-world canon/campaign
-A base-raiding and base-building aspect
And who knows what other surprises. This game is more than worth $60. This game, Bloodborne and Pers...
Just some idea's:
-Sopranos (maybe a prequel or modern spin-off of NY mob)
-Breaking Bad ( maybe look in Gus Fringes past)
-24 (prequel or maybe spin-off)
-Dexter (could be based on the books which I believe had different stories)
-The Last of Us (could be a Sony Colab with the writer of the TLOU comics (since ND writers are busy) (could be a story of how the fireflies began and show the chaos of the firs...
Lol
The reason that UC3 multiplayer is not so great is because of the terrible map design, slow bullet speeds from guns, and sprinting (without enough stopping power from bullets) ruined it.
UC2's maps were perfect and so was everything else.
I like your fixed list. I would have ranked Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 higher though
Yeah but that's the problem for some of us: WHY is it okay for professional's to gather at water coolers and talk about some stupid soap opera or a movie; but not okay for us gamers to do the same?
How is simply just watching a story unfold more acceptable than playing something that effectively shapes the story?
Pfft...most of these holier-than-thou people who judge gamers still play candy crush and board games. The rest of us prefer our "games&...
Speak for yourself. I want more if EVERY genre.
Many of them are on ps store as ps classics. The main smt series too, not just persona. Just sayin'.
Star Fox 64 was the first game I owned (12 years old with n64) and was fantastic. But I doubt it will be GOTY, with games like Xenoblade Chronicles, MGS V Phantom Pain, Zelda U, and Persona 5 coming in 2015.
Where are the Shin Megami and Persona games? Those were the cream of the crop.
I started on Nightmare Mode because people said the game is easy. Nightmare is awesome because u will fail if u don't use tactics and control your party meticulously (like in origins).
I have 10 hours and only been to two towns. That's how huge this game is.
GOTY 2014
The Battle music in DA: Inquisition is very good too
@ Ballsack: People didn't forget about 3rd party games. 3rd party games are also on ps4, so how is that making xbox one any more atractive? Exclusives are what makes or breaks a consoles momentum.
