If you think this rip off of a Wii controller was a show stopper - you are indeed a fanboy. This is not innovate in the least bit...and neither does that copy-cat Mario Kart rip off. I mean seriously, if this stuff gets you excited to be a PS3 owner...this is a sad, sad time for you guys. It's funny that people try to rip on Microsoft's ground breaking camera technology and Sony comes in with some last minute piece of plastic...lol! It's funny to me.
So maybe I was wrong about two of the thousands of things that were supposed to make a huge difference in PS3 sales. The fact simply has been that nothing has really spurred a dramatic 'sustainable' increase in PS3 sales. Their year-to-years sales are overall DOWN. Sure a price drop will cause an upward spike...sure MGS4 and GT Prologue did the same but the key world is "sustainable".

It's about what the customer understands to be a good value. You can't say the PS3 is selling less simply because of it's price point. It could be a number of things from marketing, to it's smaller game library, to it clunky user interface, to it's broken promises, or it inferior online capabilities.

I don't think Japan is as important as it used to be. With all the "major" Japanese publishers wanting to reach out to a global market. They see that both North America and Europe spend a lot of money on gaming. Just looking at the software figures, you'll see that Japan doesn't spend the kind of money as the other territories do.
First of all -- no one knows what the DLC will be. How can anyone know, just because one developer made DLC that way in Mass Effect doesn't mean that Rockstar will do the same with GTA. Rockstar has always done things top-of-the-line and different...that's what makes their games special. More missions could include more side quests through out the game...you don't work for Rockstar "The Closing" so how in the hell would you know!?
I don't think you have to finish the game to enjoy DLC.
