Microsoft's Xbox 360 console has a HUGE amount of great games introduced within the last month. 1st party/2nd Party/Multi Platform... It doesn't matter. If you own a 360 in 2008, you have an awesome game selection.... PERIOD!!

PS3 is no where near the PS2s success in the same time period. Ps2 had almost 50 million after just over 2 year. 17 million is bananas. Ps3 should have 50 million.
Original Xbox had 13.7 Million sold in that time frame. GOOD for SONY, they are just slightly better than the original xbox in sales in the relative same time frame.
I Bet the Ps3 won't make a dime in profit this whole console generation. It definitely has a lost a lot of money in the ps3 development. That is why you see such limited advertisements for PS3, no money left. I bet it is loosing ridiculous amounts of money per console. If it weren't, they'd surely send out a press release to notify share holders that they are not loosing money for each console sold but they are not.

This list is funny because it did include games as said above. I think the list-maker wanted to please as much as possible giving all popular, Indie and cult gaming crowds with some attention one way or another.
If I made a top 10 list, it would be vastly different... But I don't act like my list is the right choice. IMO, this list was made premature to Prince of Persia being released... But it is still something enjoyable to read on the can.

There is a stigma with gamers. Bioshock had a great single player with great reviews, but criticized at for having no Multiplayer. L4D is the exact opposite... I applaud both games for having a vision in mind of delivering the best experience in either arena the game-play is aimed at. Valve can clearly do both MP and SP games amazingly well. But Valve puts more polish in their games then a lot of companies do. Why play Half-life 2 MP when I could be playing CS or TF2.

The game is great. So much fun. I will be playing this game for a long time I hope, as long as the dedicated server continue to run.
After Playing this game, some parts of me really want a full fleshed out FPS Single player story involving Nothing but fast Zombies. But then again that would undermine what great the Multi-player is.
I hope they make more episodes though. One in a Mall...
Left For Dead's single player campaign mode is the Multiplayers's Internet-Less luxury. Valve does a good job of making your friend-bots work well though. They do funny things that try to replicate mistakes like what a human players might do. Then again, buying Left for Dead to only play the single player campaign is like buying a PS3 just to watch movies on.

so... Who cares about Japan. If Japan is such a concern then why isn't China or Indonesia or any other country. I know Sony is from Japan but times change. Hell Toyota sells better in NA than in Japan.

I can imagine that people are being made fun of for owning a 360 in Japan. I imagine a lot of "closet" 360 fans in Japan that are too embarrassed to play a US product as well. The humiliation of playing a FPS in Tokyo must be priceless.

Both Consoles are doing bad realistically I guess. The HD era in Japan is not taking ground nor as pronounced as in the Western culture. At the same time I don't care. The best Japanese developers have 'westernized' and are selling well here. If Japan doesn't like it... Why do I care?? Sony should be worried. Microsoft, well I guess they should be somewhat happy I guess.
Side note: Look at how well Ford/GM/C-D does in Japan. How well is Honda/Toyota doing in Japan nowa...
It is quite perplexing that Square Enix supports the Xbox over PS3 and WII in Japan. But they are crappy from what I hear anyway. Xbox 360 having more JRPGs in general, regardless of their quality is something Microsoft should probably brag about at their next conference one way or another.

1) Microsoft supported Rumble support/feedback. Sony said it isn't needed. Then after the barrage of complaints, releases the DS3 as the "next best controller in history" with only half the games supporting at the time because early dev kits had no inclusion of said feature.
