Lufia 2 was a big upgrade from the first Lufia and the fortress of doom (which was made around the time SNES first hit market). I suggest playing 1 for the story and 2 for how much better it was.

I've played all FF as well (including 11) and 13 was a big disappointment especially how linear it was and how slow the story progression is. I was so upset over 13 I traded it for Borderlands and haven't looked back since.
A lot of people kept going on about "20 hours into the game is when it gets good..." well what happen to first 10 min of a game getting good?

The big problem with the system is people grow tired of games over time; there's some moments you want to jump on a once popular game only to find its a wasteland with maybe 3-4 people max online playing. If someone wants to spend 18+ hours a day to play a game, it's their right - as long as other responsibilities are taken care of first.
I heard the same argument back when I played FF11 for 14+ hours a day; I still worked, still paid my bills on time, and even found a better job which led me to quit playing because I (not someone else, myself) decided its time to move on.

Wow someone who wrote what I was going to origionally; I get sick of the newer generation that goes on about eye candy instead of game play, story etc. There's moments I'd rather play Star Tropics 2 or even Mega Man 10 (newer game) over something like Mass Effect or Dantes Inferno.
