Didn’t the video I literally just watched say it’s running native 4K with Ray Tracing and locked at 30fps?
Sure 60+ FPS would be sublime, but it’s not a shooter. I’m stuck with 1440p high or ultra on my current PC setup and prefer that to my consoles. Some of the RPGs or strategy games I’m into right now are only running between 30 to maybe 50fps right now on ultra and their fine that way. Their not shooters. If I’m playing a brand new shooter on my PC I can always drop it to 1080 or...
The city has a very cool Blade Runner look to me. I loved that movie when I was a kid. This looks like it would be taking place 10 years before the movie would be in. Yes I know that we already live in the time Blade Runner was supposed to be in. You get my point though. The next Gen systems just look awesome. I’m almost at a crossroads of buying both Series X and PS5 or upgrading my computer to Zen 3 with either a 6800xt or an Nvidia RTX 3080. You can pretty much get both systems for the pri...
Lot of Bush’s backing Biden now.
This reminds me of how the Dreamcast PowerVR GPU worked somewhat. I remember reading way back then about how it would only render what was visible onscreen. Something Nintendo and PlayStation didn’t do at the time. They rendered the entire world. What was visible and not.
I think 1440p and 60+ is the sweet spot right now. If new games can give us that option with freesync 2 I’d be happy for now. 120+ at 1080p and 30+ at 4K seems possible on the Series X and PS5. With Samsung and Microsoft being in bed together now, I’m really hoping the next gen consoles will pair beautifully with the next round of TVs coming out. 1440p and 60+ sounds fair to me.
I’m looking forward more so to the TVs having Freesync 2, 120+ refresh, and other gaming tech being built in as standard. Since the Series X and the PS5 for that matter have native Freesync 2, it will be nice having all the Samsung TVs and monitors support that as a standard feature. Right now large 55in and larger gaming TVs that support all these features are just too expensive. It will be nice having gaming monitor features standard On the next TV I buy.
Is it turned based like the old school originals?
This might be considered a controversial one, but what about Barret Wallace from FF7? I got pretty attached to him back when I was 17 and the game first came out.
I can run Crysis, so I should be good lol.
When I hit 19 20 years ago.
Coming from an RX 580 8gig I can tell you that over its life span ( At least the first year or so. ) driver optimizations made a huge difference. I had bought my 580 about a month or less from launch. Shortly after the prices went crazy. The good thing though was just how much the later driver helped. I’m hoping that it will be the same case for the 5700 series. The 2070s seemed to have really responded well over the last year of driver advancements. Let’s hope this new architecture does the...
I got a feeling they will drop the price another $50 from where they are now. At that price I’d probably buy. I’m really wanting to replace my aging MSI Gaming X RX580. It served me well for just over a year when it came out. I’ve been playing at 1440p and it was a good card then for that. It’s not cutting it now. 5700XT would be a good buy.
How about some old schoolsTurboGrafx-16 games? The Bonk’s Adventure series, Bomberman 93, Keith‘s Courage, Y’s book and even Splatter House. I’d be down for some TG-16 games.
The Dreamcast not having any rental games at the time seriously hurt it. I absolutely loved my Dreamcast. I’ve always bought every system I could, but the Dreamcast had a special spot in my heart. I bought it the week it came out and was really surprised by the 3D capability at the Time compared to my PS1, N64, and Saturn. I actually loved Sonic Adventure. You just couldn’t rent anything from places like Blockbuster and unfortunately there were some real crap games on it also. There were some...
Wildlands really burst my bubble also. Gears of war 4 was great at 1440 and Forza. Once I played wildlands it broke my heart. My little 580 let me down. It’s painful when you gotta start turning the sliders down lol. I’m not opposed what so ever about going back to Nvidia especially with Freesync support. It’s just that if the rumors hold true about the price and performance of the Navi cards, then financially it makes sense. I don’t need to be killing 4K resolutions right now. I’m enjoying m...
But will it play Crysis Lol?
I’ve gone through ATI/AMD and Nvidia. I’m not loyal to either. I’m rocking an MSI RX 580 gamer X right now that I got day one for my HP omen 32 Freesync. At the time it made sense to me since I had high hopes for Vega and Freesync. Now it doesn’t matter. I am hoping the 3080 or 3090 really does deliver. My 580 8gig is showing its age for sure.
@CyberSentinal
There’s times your batteries might die on you at the wrong time, your killed instantly after spawning and you simply mumble gay or shit. Your not meaning that at any person or to offend. It’s just part of speech. Especially those of us that have been around since online gaming started. Now I can be recorded and taken out of context for a slip directed at no one and be given a red card because my microphone picked it up and someone reported it. Like everything this will...
Such a good call hahahahaha! I was thinking exactly the same thing. We’re dinosaurs now guys. At 39 I guess I’m ready for the retirement home lol. That gave me the laugh of the day.
I’m pretty curious just how close the hardware will be between Sony and Microsoft. Their basically working with the same company and technology. I’m an equal opportunity gamer. I try and collect every system from every gen. Also upgrade Pc components every two years or so. As long as it makes sense I’ll be buying both of them. Every system has that one game I just gotta have. I’m just wondering though if they end up being pretty much clones of each other. The Sony and Microsoft that is. I mea...
I’m really looking forward to what RDNA2 is going to be capable of down the line. The Navi cards are dropping next month also for PC. Microsoft seems to be throwing support behind it somewhat. Between PC games using the same basic RDNA tech on the AMD cards and both consoles using it. You’d think it would be a good thing all the way around. I think this cycle of video cards I’ll be going red just for this reason. Hopefully a 6800XT and a new Ryzen chip. Let’s see what time brings us.
