I think one reason for games not selling as good as they should on the ps3 is because many people have it just for the blu-ray feature.
So basically the current installbase is not as hardcore on games compared to what is usual for console owners. Normally you buy a console to play games.
Not saying the ps3 does not have games, it really is starting to pick up its pace in that area.
I hope its not as bad as the article says, I was looking forward to playing this game with my GF.
I have tried it myself and I find it works very well! nice getting 5.1 surround with my divx movies/series.

edit: yeah i watched the whole thing and they have both:) only thing now i want is mkv, but that is probably never going to happen.
Also i hope the divx/xvid 5.1 sound is supported. That would really make my day! Now i dont have to buy a new computer with hdmi.

I think that they wanted the game out by the holidays and cut some corners, sad really.
Without these flaws it may have gotten even higher scores!
I really don't really see how this would not be as good as the software emulation of the original dvd's?
The harddrive in the 360 should be faster than the dvd-drive?
From what I see they should be just as good only with faster loading times.
So if nobody complained about the old emu this should do just fine.
I would have hoped for 720p in all games though.
I think its mostly a priority issue. When EA makes 10 times more money on the 360 compared to the ps3 they are bound to use a little more time on it.
But it works both ways, so how smart of a move this is I don't know.
Maybe more parents will consider buying it for their kids knowing they can control how much they play.
It is clear that the stated xbox pictures have a filter on the textures and the ps3 does not.
Could these pictures been taken from a computer with different settings just to start a flame war?
The screens for xbox360 seems to be taken with a higher texture setting than the ones labeld ps3.
To the guys saying that the ps3 textures on these pictures are better is just plain wrong.
You can't sit laid back in your couch with your K+M. And i don't know how many use the pc in combination with tv/projector with full surrond sound.
One or two of the reasons why I like consoles better.
The 360 supports 1080p over component, vga and the new hdmi. Problem is that there is not so many TV's that support 1080p over component. But most can take it over vga and hdmi.
I felt the demo was to short to get a real impression :/
Its 5-6 hours on normal difficulty. Why do reviewers that are probably pretty good at fps play at this easy difficulty?
skill 1 is for total newcomers, skill 2 for people who have played a fps before, 3 for experienced fps players and 4 for the real hardcore people that want a serious challange.
Lol you chose that screenshot to show that the ps3 version is better? The xbox shot looks miles ahead of the ps3.
My guess is that both versions will be pretty much the same in the end.
Agree, if I should choose to kill myself one day by jumping of a building because I saw it in a movie/game. I would not be killing myself because of the movie/game but just choosing a method known to me because I saw it somewhere.
If videogames really did make people killers we would have ALOT more of these things happening.
