Bethesda have hired modders in the past, it's a good way to find new talent in the industry
Well this is a new low, DLC for an unfinished game, couldn't even wait till the game was finished and released before working on or releasing DLC
it has got the little disc icon
I really hope this is the case, even for both companies MS and Sony, I really don't want them to start a trend of releasing new consoles every couple of year and leaving the early adopters behind, I think that would be bad for us and the industry.
this is basically a new console, MS are screwing over its xbox one fan base with this, at least neo is apparently an addon to ps4 and not a fully fledged new console
edit: from what I've heard anyway I haven't paid much attention to neo, all I heard is its designed to sit next to you current ps4
.
Yeah I get that it's their choice at the end of the day, I am just saying it's simple to publish to all platforms and they cannot get pissed at people on console wanting to play the mods, they choose not to publish, but yeah the people publishing to console should be crediting the original author and linking to the original, in my opinion issuing a DMCA notice's for a free mod is not the way to handle this and is overkill.
Only reason I can see why they wouldn...
I don't agree with those who never created the mod taking the credit for it, but the original publishers should have published to all platforms as soon as the feature came out of beta, it's as simple as pressing a button, simply select publish to Bethesda.net, then select PC, XBOX or PS4. It's the original publishers fault for leaving it in the hands of the community to transfer, more platforms = more downloads for them in the end, which in turn means more popularity. so don't...
and it never will be because there is nothing to solve, it is simply a hint about the 3 UFO's flying in the sky which can be seen at the end of the game, R* has trolled big time.
I actually think R* knew what they were doing when they added this and it was a sort of social experiment, while also getting people to play there game for as long as possible trying to solve a "Mystery".
@OoglyBoogly quite a lot actually, you see being an online only game means that it needs to dedicate a lot of it's time to networking tasks and other client side calculations that keep you in sync with the server and other players, the calculations for this are not cheap, this means there is less frame time for the graphics and other stuff.
A lot of older games used to display a message saying graphical quality would be diminished in the online portion of the game, it see...
That is a terrible idea, the free price tag will not bring people back, not if they are real gamers anyway, it will make people think "oh great Bungie/Activision are scamming people again!" or "That game will be bad and will include pay-walls".
Micro-transactions/subs should stay with mobile gaming.
People will happily buy DLC if it is good quality and adds new content that is worth the price of the DLC.
Think expansion pa...
Hope your enjoying it with your drops to 0 FPS.
Exclusive feature only available on X-Box One
Would you rather have a shitty 10 hour game with excellent graphics, or an excellent 200 hour+ game with decent graphics?
I would pick the latter every time, graphics are nothing to a good game.
This obsession with photo-realism is ruining gaming
Commentator, I agree it could be better on a new engine.
But a lot of people expect witcher 3 graphics, which is just not possible of a game on this scale, without blocking out the majority of your audience and limiting the game to high end PC's, which any company wanting to make profit will never do.
Witcher 3 should be compared to MGS5 not fallout 4, as its a lot closer in terms of scope, only similarity between F4 & W3 is they are RPG's.
They turned off the shadows in 1 place(probably a bug and will be fixed), it's hardly making the game.
You cannot have a game of this size, without a few bugs no matter what engine it is running.
This game has pretty much every object with physics enabled, multiple destructible objects, realtime volumetric lighting, all running real time in a massive open world with complete freedom to do whatever, whenever.
You need to understand how res...
Performance in combat seems to be fixed as well
Just had a battle with multiple enemies, explosions, lasers, mini nukes etc, with no noticeable performance dips.
Loading screens seem to be faster as well
I just hope it lasts.
Now to go and test other lag spots in the game, hopefully there are no issues
Performance seems much better after this patch, on PS4
I get no lag around my generators now, it was like a slideshow before this patch.
Still need to test in combat, hopefully I can now take on more than 2 enemies at once without the game grinding to a halt
Yeah I did and it says "apparently using day 1 patch"
Personally I cannot see it being released yet.
There will be a day 1 patch, the version of the game people are playing at the minute will be unpatched.
So try not to judge it before it's actual release.
Just played a quick game with the patch in sanctuary with settlement size maxed and and the increased resolution makes the textures look a lot sharper can definitely see more detail, LOD has been extended quite a bit and I'm also pretty sure it's running faster than 30fps now, it felt a whole lot more responsive to play.
