PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4, so it was a given that the Dual Shock 5 would retain the touch pad, share button, etc.
@P_Bomb
That reminds me of Tomb Raider Chronicles.
They should make a crossover with Nathan and Lara working together, or maybe competing over who can grab a treasure first. It would sell.
Don't we already have a prequel in Golden Abyss? That's your Uncharted 0 right there.
It's just a bunch of PR talk. Seems aimed at investors more than consumers.
The very first JRPGs (think Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy on the NES) had no correlation to anime. It was just medieval fantasy. It's weird how things turned out.
A JRPG with a complex and mature story, as opposed to silly anime tropes.
I said "how about", it's a suggestion, not an order.
And I'm a reader here, so I'm voicing my preferences to people who publish their articles here.
Totally different from some rando telling me what I should or shouldn't play/do in my free time.
"Understated"? That bulky monstrosity is anything but.
I'm getting tired of all these opinion pieces titled "You Should Do This", "You Shouldn't Do That".
I'll do whatever the f*** I want, thank you very much. :)
How about reporting on some actual news?
PS1 games run ever-so-slightly better on PS2, and PSP games suffer from fewer hiccups when running on Vita. This is by virtue of the superior hardware alone, without any specific optimization. It's safe to assume that PS4 games will run slightly better on PS5, if nothing else because of the SSD drive (faster loading times) and larger/better RAM. However the difference won't be massive. It will basically be like playing on a PS4 Pro for the games that support it, while older titles may...
Seems very faithful to the original game. I love how the rendered the characters.
I wish they would get rid of the battle banter. It's always out of sync with the story events and ruins the mood for me. Why would Cloud sound sassy/somber in a cutscene and cocky/upbeat two seconds later? This was also a big problem in FF XV, where the banter was ultra- repetitive in addition to being cringy.
The other flaw this game may have inherited from XV is the way summons are handled. Having them show up on their own volition is just dumb.
Oth...
I love the PS1, PS2 and PSP designs. Is it just me or Sony consoles haven't looked quite as sexy ever since? I hope PS5 has a good design.
The original game didn't have top notch graphics, either. Even back then the controls were clunky and the camera movements sucked. But people played it and loved it anyway because it was a damn good game.
These days it's all about "frame rate" and nonsense like that...
It's the other way around for me. I breezed through P3 but I quit P5 halfway through.
Crash Team Racing. Tomb Raider 4. Metal Gear Solid. Tekken 3. All games with amazing 3D graphics (for the time), and they all arguably look better than Mario 64.
Besides, the absolute best-looking PS1 games (Final Fantasy, Resident Evil) made use of pre-rendered backgrounds, which was easier to pull off on PS1 thanks to the CD support. That's the reason why FF switched to Sony in the first place.
Give the guy a break... No high-IQ person ends up working as a cleaner! Of course he isn't the sharpest pencil in the box. I actually feel sorry for him.
