I love British humor.
I feel bad for games that came out the same week as Portal 2.
This is the best roundup of rumors I've seen so far. Thanks for this.
It comes down to a price/performance decision. In order to get better performance than AMD, you have to spend more. The question becomes: is a 5% performance increase worth HUNDREDS of dollars to you? If you absolutely must have the fastest, Intel is the best, but you dearly pay for the privilege. For this current gen, AMD processors are a much, much better value, because they are far less expensive, they are usually more energy efficient, and they perform extremely well.
I just tried the system out. It's not mandatory. It basically just downloads and runs the installer for you (if you say yes)
Cutting and pasting press releases. So classy.
Exactly.
The founder of EVO came on to Icrontic to clarify the issue and set the record straight. It was non-ustream equipment failure that caused the issue.

Not sure how it would stack up against a 5830 or 5850 for folding though; I believe the 5800 series have far more stream processors than the GTX 460
This is a very well-written review. Better than 90% of the schlock out there "THE GRAPHICS WERE VERY GOOD" blah blah.
Nice to see someone with a mastery of the language writing game reviews. It raises the bar for the others.
They just changed their minds

You wanna know why? Look at the front page of N4G. That's all people give a shit about, and it drives massive traffic to sites.
Everybody thinks this is "PC vs. Console" (of course, this IS N4G....)
Don't you get it? When all the rendering and processing is done in the cloud, it's not EITHER anymore; it's not console OR PC gaming.. It's just... Gaming. It'll be like television. You turn it on, order it, and there it is. We don't ask if TV is UHF or VHF anymore, either.
GAMING is growing, of course... but the point of the article is that dedicated high...
One of the things that irks me is how drivers are almost always out-of-date when you buy a laptop; granted, I understand the need to roll out a single unified build when manufacturing, and then time sitting in warehouse/store shelf, etc...
It's annoying.
Valve are amazing. They're masters of the craft. This is exactly like Willy Wonka. People are going NUTS over these Golden Wrenches.
Now people are crafting like mad to try to get the Golden Wrench. Today on a server I saw 3-4 players at any given time just sitting there in spawn, watching "crafting" messages pop up in the chat log.
This is why PC gaming will always rule the roost. Console players have no idea what they're missing, that's the sad part. Even sadder, they don't care.
I agree. The cord doesn't bother me, and it's annoying having to deal with charging issues. Imagine how much more a wireless version would cost.
The cool thing about Razer is that they bring up a point people don't like to talk about: No matter which way you cut it, there IS lag with wireless controllers. Any serious tournament player will not use wireless.
I'm blown away that Activision did what they did. It kind of draws a line in the sand and tells us that they focus on showmanship instead of games.
See, I love this. Normally those bullet-hell shmups turn me off, but that one looks absurd and fun.
