You now there is a problem when Microsoft has been completely silent about sales of the console being sold to customers. Microsoft has always brag about sales numbers, ALWAYS.
Instead, what we have received is statistics about zombies killed.

Not trying to be negative but Microsoft doesn't have a chance in Japan. They can throw any game they want and still, nothing will happend. History has teach us that. People on Japan simply doesn't like the Xbox brand.
But, you are free to believe in any miracle magic beans from the sky that will suddenly brainwash everybody in Japan and they will run run run to get their x1.
It is best to let anyone who want to believe that DX12 is a magical secret sauce to believe it. When you have nothing to brag about, You have no choice than to believe in fairy tales.

By the other hand, is impressive how the PS4, still with supply constraints, has managed to outsold the xbone everywhere.
