I would not be surprise if Microsoft is trying to force developers to make their games at 900p on both consoles to avoid looking bad.
Microsoft is a cancer to the gaming industry. They failed on their attempt to control the industry with DRM and now this.
That clause is making indies consider PS4 first so in the end is helping PS4 owners more than xbox owners.
Not supporting Ubisoft on this game. Not fully using PS4 potential just to avoid Microsoft complaining why their version is 900p while the other is 1080p is a very low and coward move.
Interesting that the PS4/PS3 version sold more without any marketing efforts while Microsoft spend a lot of money in the marketing deal and didn't get quite the results they were hoping for what begs the next question
What would happen if Microsoft didn't have a marketing deal? It would has sold less copies I guess.
If the game was 1080p on PS4, Microsoft would have invaded Ubisoft and ask/demand why is not 1080p on X1.
This is the debate that Ubisoft wanted to avoid and penalized PS4 owners just to avoid having Microsoft on their tail.

So being third once again and alive despite being dominated by the PS4 everywhere in both hardware and software is called a success for the X1.
I would not call that success but I guess people will change the whole meaning of success in order to try to accommodate the X1 somewhere.
And yet reality tell us a different story where the PS4 is king and crushing the x1 but I guess anything can hope.
I hope this game turns out to be good. Ghosts was a big disappointment.
There are a lot of good games coming in the following months.

Why Microsoft don't offer sales number data as opposed to last gen?
Why Microsoft don't comment on NDP numbers as opposed to last gen?
Why multiplatform games sell 3 times more on PS4?
Why PS4 is dominating the X1 in every territory they are both available?
