It's not going to have any impact on consoles, consoles have always been a "worse" value proposition than PCs, that's not why people buy them; people buy them for exclusive games, and Steam Deck can't play PlayStation or Nintendo exclusives.
I think Steam Deck will do well enough for what it is, but lol, anyone who thinks it has a chance at overthrowing Nintendo's portable dominance is in for a shock.
