Why would they when they care about the game itself, games are not all just about sales you know, it has several different aspects most of which are due to the players opinion.

Insignificant opinion that gears of war is better, i personally prefer REALISTIC games, you know the the sort that does not require 120 shots in the head to kill your enemy, and the story on gears is a bit meh, i mean Marcus fenix is your typical dumbass military grunt (kind of like rico in kz :P) same with dom, baird but coll makes up for it, he makes me laugh.

if you are only private class you will be given only 2 to 4 clips maximum due to supplies and the other soldiers, in a war if you have lets say 12000 soldiers 20 clips each isn't exactly going to be cheap considering every bullet needs to be made in a certain way, lets just say you cant put a .50 cal bullet in your .45 :P.
