ok, the xbox 360 could be better still if it had 1 more year of development, but, the fact is that pc is way better.
PS3 as a console is laughable, it's not in the same league as xbox 360 in games, and SPE's are not cores so 1/3 of conventional computer power of xbox 360.
GPU without unified pipelines...it's not only the ram that isn't unified in ps3.
And sony is saying that ps3 would last for 10 years?

obviously an 8800 GTX is not cheap, but inside the ps3 there is an outdated 7xxx GPU, and we already are capable to buy some desktop pc's
below 600 euros with Better gpu's, more memory, better cpu's...

I do believe that it's not good practice to compete with your's partners..
sony do exactly that.

ps3 bluray competing with other bluray players, lot of sony games competing with other companies.
Microsoft tries to avoid just that!
