idk what they do in the UK. i live far away from it. but as soon as tech is avalable it is released. what NINTENDO did with wii is their decision. they decided not to cater to the hardcore. but MS, SONY, and many others do. if these companies don't come up with the tech and release it, other companies will. if SONY decides not to come up with some sick tech, MS will. hell if these companies slack for just a second, you WILL see companies like SEGA maybe even PANASONIC or NVIDIA taking advanta...
i hear ya too. but it's not like ur wanting technology to stop just to stay in the gaming elite. SONY has a great policy that suports their consoles after new ones come out. just like some pc game companies keep suprting older cards. but new tech has to be made available.

sorry but there is no cycle for anything. as soon as the tech is available it's released. the fact that companies release new tech in similar dates is a direct effect of how competitive the market is. part of the reason why the ps3 was delayed was bwcause the blueray tech wasn't ready not the cpu or gpu specs. so the fact it came out later doesn't mean sony won't have to come up with a new console to counter MS's or NINTENDO's new console. i for one i'm ready for next-gen in 2010. alot of peo...
