For me Story is the most important part of an RPG and why I got so into them. The lazy half stories being told through hours of dialogue that tells you nothing these days is insane to me. Most of these are the weak story jrpgs which is why its an easy pass for myself. I don't have love to turn based or tactics battles systems but I enjoy the other aspects of jrpgs. Every game I play from these companies is PC based and I don't see that changing. They might pull them from Playstation and Nintendo but I think that will be only for new exclusive deals. I don't see elder scrolls every going singular platform with its HUGE PC modding community. They would just be shooting themselves in the foot in that instance.
Everyone finds fun in different places. People like to write articles that ask stupid questions in the title so people run and write comments on the article giving it views without people reading the article.
I desire to be having fun playing games but I don't enjoy souls-like games or even remotely find them fun but they are very popular right now. Everyone finds fun in games in different places so I think the answer is YES but the definition is variable per person.
Last time was THQ and R.A. Salvatore and that game basically brought the studio to its knees and in the end had one of the most lackluster narratives I have ever sat through while constantly waiting for it to... get good. Maybe from software will start making story driven games. I am not going to hold my breath.
I can say that I feel like the movie tie in and making it a new origin story really hurt my enjoyment. I also felt like the platforming from the ps3 entries was vastly superior to PS4 in every way. It was like the thing tried to go back in time but that was a bad mov(i)e.
Not if it means all these poorly ported 3rd party games would start having antialiasing. Most recently the Spongebob game looks like a ps1 game on the switch. I regret buying it there even though it was an easy choice until I started playing. No refunds available and it feels like 1995.
Nice! Considering how they tried a movie tie in last time and it was horrible I am glad to hear its not related to the game. Then again this animation is better than the movie was. I have had this preorderd since christmas. My 6 year old LOVES mario 3d world and won't stop talking about this game. He often says. "Hey Daddy, let's talk about Mario 3D world Bower's Fury." I loved this game back when I played it on PS2 a long time ago. I really hope they are changing the graphics for the characters so that it looks good. The current graphics do nothing to make me want to purchase this remake. I own the original on steam and I feel like the main thing I would want changes on is the combat and how it felt like a separate part of the game in the original. It is almost a Mario Kart battle mode but not as enjoyable so far. I admit its not my normal type of game. I play pretty much zero online multiplayer games. With the exception of a couple MMOs with old friends and rocket league. So far I am enjoying this about as much as I did rocket league but I expect to quickly get bored with it.
I liked genshin impact at the start but it quickly began to feel like a grind fest. I also do not enjoy the whole always online thing which just feels like a way to them to use a FTP MMO style store. I am pretty anti characters having the possibility of randomly rolling two or one star and being weaker then they should be for no reason at all. The fight from religious groups and any other crazies out there against this type of thing is definitely hold it back the same way its held technology back since the spoon. I wish VR was not a motion sickness machine for me I really hope that more games come out with both VR and regular controls because there are now multiple games that are VR only I really want to play. With sword art onlines crazy popularity you can bet a big studio is already working on something like this.
I liked it better than the sequels to the original. I enjoyed getting to play in a new area in space and I loved the platforming and puzzles in it. I knew because I loved the changes the gaming world hated them. I found the combat in 2 and 3 especially just because fps style waves 'meh'. I hoped the next game is very much like this one. The story was good too, the original game had a better story but it was a far better story than the other sequels produced. Thats my unpopular opinion...
I am glad I never played in handheld mode now lol. I have enjoyed the collection so far been playing through them all and am in the middle of 64. My son watching wanted me to play galaxy first so I did. I had no real issues but I never play in handheld mode. I just never enjoyed handheld mode and i feel like the tiny buttons on the joypads where made for people with tiny hands. I greatly prefer my powerA full size controller.
Its pretty good but is missing some quality of life things in newer games. It also has a very annoying stamina system that makes you need to rest at inns or you run out of energy. I greatly dislike that "feature". Also the combat is annoying imo.
