it depends on the individual. sonic had most of its glory back then in the 90's, whereas mario had stood ground for years. but they both have made tremendous impacts on our gaming experiences and will undoubtedly go down in history as videogame charecters that have inspired other developers and their franchises.

The Move will replicate wii's success, think about it, hardcore/casual titles, great advertisement (coca cola cans) and a formula that works! :) i applaud sony for their realization that accuracy/casual/hardcore can all meld into a single great device.
