I must be in the minority. Never had a problem with updates.
Maybe there was a smudge on the disc. I know that when any of my discs have a smudge it slows down loading.

Used to have forza horizon 2 but really got bored of it. Loved the demo but just couldn't bring myself to finish the last couple of races.
