He jumped into the game with no tutorial on building, and then rushed directly into making a machine, which takes a couple of minutes to compose because you have to think, now all of a sudden the game isnt easily accessible because he thought that the machine was going to compose itself. hello dumbass, obviously making machines isnt something for the casual people. Its something for those people that want to take their time doing things. No tutorial? come on!

then that would mean the game has realtime elements, such as your main character gets scratched, next time you turn on your console he/she might have a scar, 2 weeks later the scar is healed, something like that, or it could be smaller things like in motorstorm, you lifted a bunch of dirt the first time you went by the track, on your second lap you can see the tracks still on the floor.

final fantasy wasnt the crown jewel until it was announced for the 360, then suddenly we had a ton of 360 owners actually liking the game and not saying it was gay anymore. it was never the biggest ps3 exclusive until ps3 lost it, and its only 360 for life people that say so.

i looked at some videos weeks ago of system shock and bioshock (which i havent played) and i think it may be because they made it as the spiritual successor, like you said, but to appeal to todays gamers more, such as the fps audience. maybe they put less puzzles and more shooting who knows.
