That's unfortunate. Only time I trade in games at Gamestop is if they have decent promotions/bonuses. Otherwise, the amount they offer is an absolute joke.
You seriously can't compare going to a movie theatre to playing a game on a television you paid for. For one, you have to factor in the price of the TV and possibly the device you're playing on. And in no way is playing on a TV in your living room comparable to a full on movie theatre, especially high quality theatres with Dolby Atmos and 3D and all the bells and whistles.
It would be better to compare it to renting a movie. Even with a movie rented from a streaming s...
EA will never make less money off of games through a new type of service. We're talking a huge corporation here, they don't pay people a ton of money to come up with new ideas on how to make less money. I'm thinking they will eventually charge more for the service, or the games offered will eventually be older, crappier games. Of course when they first announce it they have to make it sound good. The ol' bait and switch.
So... the beta pretty much ends after you beat the 5 or so missions on earth, right (aside from the crucible)? And is the final game going to be the same deal where you're playing the same map over and over? Thought that was kind of ridiculous.
I don't think it's necessarily just that they wanted more people to subscribe to their services, it seems like a lot of companies are receiving flack for DLNA streaming because most people use it for watching pirated content. I remember reading somewhere that when you have a service like Netflix or Hulu on a device that there are certain criteria or whatever they have to meet, one of those being the exclusion of media streaming (read this in regard to Google Chrome, which would make a...
Where did you find it for $33?
Oh and to people's comments about PC: It doesn't have to be that expensive. The whole price thing is pretty much the same deal as consoles, you just have a choice. You can spend like $500-$600 on a PC that has similar performance to a console and use it for the entire duration of the current generation of consoles. There are plenty of build guides for gaming PC's around the $600 price range. And if you want a "next-gen" sys...
Seems like the author is trying to spin everything into negatives for the game. Granted, it's good to have that kind of approach when all you hear from devs and advertisements is "bestest game ever!!!" But, I really think they criticize elements unnecessarily. And the fact that the author seems to really think highly of Titanfall makes it seem like the author is more in the casual audience of shooters. Which there is no problem with, but it sounds like Destiny is more for hardco...
It's all a BS scam.
Looks like a lot of fun... wish the game was actually playable on ps4.
I'm sorry, but you're an idiot. Your car driving comparison relates to this in absolutely no way. A more accurate comparison would be saying someone driving a car is going to be faster than someone driving a semi truck. Using a keyboard does indeed give you an unfair advantage. That doesn't mean that there aren't other factors in skill, it's just a big one. You can be a hell of a lot more precise with a mouse and keyboard. Just try playing on PC with a controller. Just bec...
Same here. Was really excited for this game but was pretty let down, especially given that Battlefield 4 is such a mess. I don't know what it is, but I just get bored with this game.
Just a guess, but I could see the reason being they haven't implemented the anti-cheat yet is so they can build up a nice list of people then ban them all at once. Otherwise, ban a few people and the cheat sites catch on and find out how they're tracking them and update their cheats so they can't be detected. People literally pay for this crap.
I spent quite a while at one point looking into the whole hacking ordeal. I think it's a bigger problem than most people realize. Tons of people out there refuse to play online shooters unless they can cheat, and they've been doing it for years so they're pretty good at hiding them. Look up some of the cheater testimonial letters, freaking ridiculous.
I really wish devs and pubs would take the whole cheating problem a little more seriously. I know quite a few peop...
Everything can be hacked. And it's not like CoD players are going out and making these themselves, they just download them. Seriously, just do a quick google search. Like every online game out has hacks for it. Some people are even stupid enough to pay monthly for them.
I just find it funny how it changed from a "console war" to "it's not about comparisons, Xbox may not sell as many as Sony, but they're still selling."
Seems like people constantly overhype the TV functionality. It's not a tivo, you can't record TV with it (unless you already have a tivo or dvr), it's not a cable box, you still need a cable box with HDMI output to get TV on your xbox, it's really not much of anything other than being able to snap TV and getting rid of the process of switching inputs (which is just a couple of buttons so I don't see the big deal). Hell, my TV outdoes the snap feature by offering a better p...
I got the early March update so I have confirmed all of this...
The surround sound update they're talking about is primarily adding Dolby Digital. Optical output to a surround sound system worked fine before with only DTS support. Another big thing is having bitstream through HDMI. So, for me, for example, I have my Xbox One going to my TV through HDMI, and then an optical cable from my TV to my receiver. Before that would only give me uncompressed 2 channel audio, now I ...
That came out wrong let me try this again...
@StubbyStan You say you want MS to respect north american xbox gamers, Illionaire pretty much gave you the reason why they don't "respect" you. North American xbox fanboys will justify any shortcomings of their system. In other countries I imagine people must have enough common sense to realize the competition has a better product for less money. Illionaire's point was they can get away with ridiculous crap like t...
"Furthermore, all of GCHQ's work is carried out in accordance with a strict legal and policy framework which ensures that our activities are authorised, necessary and proportionate, and that there is rigorous oversight, including from the secretary of state, the interception and intelligence services commissioners and the Parliamentary Intelligence and Security Committee."
Necessary and proportionate for what? I highly doubt terrorists are plotting their next at...
I have both and have to say I like the controller quite a bit more on the Xbox One. Can't stand the DS4's joysticks, the outer ring drives me crazy, they wear down really fast, and it's just not as smooth of a feel as the xbox one's controller. Also like the way the One's controller fits in your hands too.
Media features on Xbox One are also pretty cool once you get used to them. The Xbox SmartGlass app now is actually really cool. I can control my entire...
