This makes me wander how exclusive MGS4 really is? I know Kojima has said its never coming to the 360 but Konami have been a little vague. Personally I think exclusives serve only to exclude poorer gamers from enjoying of all the great games out there. Not all of us can afford all 3 consoles. I own a ps3 by the way.

To be fair i'm not suprised... Reliable insiders at Blu-ray.com have been hinting at this for some time.
Compared to COD4 or UT3 this looks pretty average. But still I may rent it anyway, you never know. I remember thinking Red Faction sucked when I 1st saw it but it turned out great ;)
Toshiba will earn royalties from software sold which is fine and dandy but other manufacturers who might decide to make HD-DVD players wont.
Also hardware manufacturers dont want to get into another sub $50 DVD player-like price war, theres just no money in it for them.
If you have no third party CE support you pretty much buggered at retail. Hence why many major retailers are favouring Blu-Ray, some going exclusive. Basically its easier to attract consumers with shelve...
The only thing Toshiba has achieved with the mad price drops and the ridiculous $99 sale was to send a clear message to all the other CE companies like Samsung, Panasonic, Hitachi etc that theres no money in HD-DVD.
Though Blu-Ray players are priced higher they will continue to dominate store shelves simply b/c they have more CE support. Its not looking good for HD-DVD who are already getting owned in software sales. Personally I think its time for Tosh to start making HD-DVD players b...

M'Kay so how is it that a barely 1 year old ''inferior console'' which is significently harder to code for with ''inferior memory'' manage to out class a 2 year old ''superior console'' with games like RFOM, GT5, Killzone 2 and Uncharted?
Also explain why the xbox 360 with its superior pixel shading and 2+ years game develpment and unlimited MS cash can only manage 640p?
