I feel bad for the guy, but he shouldn't have spent so much on an open beta in the first place.
It's scary to think that there are people who are okay with being watched as long as they get that precious TV and CoD #whateverthefuck.
This is the feel I got from the conference. Basically solidified that the console wasn't for me.
The last thing you said is what I'm worried most about, myself. Localizing Yakuza 5 would be extremely expensive thanks to the Japanese celebrity VAs and brand licensing all over the game. The only real option imo would be a digital-only release to help cut down costs, and even then it would be a tough financial gamble.
Just because I and other fans would buy the game day one, doesn't mean the average consumer would. Marketing to a wider audience itself would be extre...
Knowing their intentions would be something, even if they're not sure of the future.
I would punch 10 babies to see Yakuza 5 in the US.
Isn't this still under a NDA?
It was an issue even before the Wii, but it got particularly bad around 2007, the time Big Bang Theory started airing.
And it does make those that are genuinely interested and experienced in games look bad. Someone's automatic assumption is that a female who plays video games, only does so for attention and is bad at them. That is not always the case, but it's a lot of people's immediate reaction.
I agree. I don't care much for Microsoft consoles, but the rumors are exciting and it's always neat to see new tech.
So is it going to be the PC version that gave players the ability to pay real money to hit max level ASAP? The same version that looked even worse than the original PC version with mods? Because if so, fuck that. Why encourage SE to churn out more lazy ports?
Don't hurt me, Vanillaware-baby. I just want some of dem gorgeous visuals and smooth beat'em up gameplay.
It's always surprising to think about how popular this series used to be in Japan a decade ago, and how it's fallen from the public eye entirely. Great series, though, for real.
God, I love P4: Arena. 2D fighters will never die.
The last one is pretty nice, but the official logo looks fine to me.
Naturally, not the historical one.
Can't get over how much this guy looks like Jesus.
Ugh, the Sims 3 is a buggy enough mess. I can't even imagine how bad 4 will be. I wonder if they'll do like they did in the segue between 2 and 3, and strip 4 of all the actually useful content and pop it in over more than a dozen expansion packs.
Might end up grabbing this even though I own a physical copy. They need to know there's still a demand for this type of game in NA.
I want to play this so bad. Vanillawaaaaaare!
While normally that would be a good point, open beta these days is in more of a soft launch than a beta. There will be no more character wipes and the system as it stands now is likely not to be changed. If there were character wipes, maybe it would be different, but there won't be. As such, it is technically a launch.
All that's really needed at this point is ironing out the bugs and for the dev team to churn out some endgame content.
Arcane Saga is a terrible game made from the guts of a previously kind of okay game. I seriously don't know what they were thinking.
Oh, and be sure to buy the Xenor pack for the game on Steam! Because anyone who's going to PvP actively in that game is going to have the pots that heal them for 100% of their HP or MP on a 30 second CD. It's ridiculous what Netmarble have done here.
