Yeah, I've tried both of them and ps3 looks sooo bad outside. It's a huge difference from the pc version. I pitty those ps3 users that are getting the game. It's down right fugly!
Cool. We both have had the exact same thoughts on how it should be. I've always thought they should boot Home in the backround of XMB when you boot up. Then you could just push the ps button to close XMB and enter Home.

Yes the controls on pc are pretty horrible. It seems like a bad console port. The concept is is really cool, but too bad it's really boring in the beginning. I tried it last night.

Gulf of Oman is indeed as small as I feared. It looks like the aicraft carrier is not even there. Everything is crammed together for the consoles versions. I fucking hate this!
