If it's not a full reboot, it's a wasted opportunity. I say this as someone who ADORED the last reboot (3D ones) save for NG3.
Ninja Gaiden is as dead, and creatively vapid at this point, as a videogame franchise could possibly be.
You're going to get better game experiences from mid-generation jumps like this, ultimately, so stop thinking about your "investment" in an original PS4 or Xbox One and start paying more mind to the developers and artists who, every console cycle, desperately want to realize their visions but are always shackled in one form or another by hardware which (nowadays) is underpowered from the second it launches. This will also mean less of a negative affect on PC games which must eit...
I hope this is also true for the PS4Neo. I'm not planning on buying a base PS4 anymore, so any and all games which take advantage of the improved hardware will be good news to me.
Then you haven't taken 30 seconds out of your life to read the origins of this game's script.
Well, Prey 2 is truly, irreparably dead now.
And conceptually speaking, this looks like no substitute. I also thought the first Dishonored was incredibly dull, so the fact that Arkane is now heading Prey is another blow to any possible interest I might have had. Ugh.
Amazing the lengths players will go to to make excuses for major companies. There is no excuse, despite what some of you are saying, for this. If the data is too large for a single disc, put it on multiple (in the same release). End of story.
Exactly. That's the biggest hole in Square Enix's rationale for this.
I call BULLSH*T. Plain and simple. They're doing this because they're greedy ****er's and nothing else.
So done with this kind of nonsense.
Article left a lot to be desired, but I'm thankful it led me to that Youtube channel with all the Thousand Years of Dreams ( https://www.youtube.com/cha...
Lost Odyssey IS a classic. It's amazing, actually. In part for its "A Thousand Years of Dreams", yes. They are so unbelievably beautiful.
LO was one of the most memorable game experiences of the last g...
Have never had an interest in the series before this one, but this looks excellent. I can't wait to see more play and hopefully a release date in the months immediately ahead.
I'm sure it will get more attention soon. Games which look this promising usually catch people's attention eventually.
I have been following this since the Kickstarter. Looks amazing.
Though I hate what they did with the game, and their arrogance leading up to it, I'm glad they're doing this. The company is in rough shape, and remasters are helping keep its head above water right now. Plus, the more remasters from them people buy, the more likely a Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen port will become a reality on PS4 and Xbox One, and not just on PC. That game is amazing and deserves a second chance - the biggest second chance they can manage. The sales from which woul...
NX Gamer does an excellent job in his performance analyses. I trust his assessments.
It's a problem with N4G. It's been saying this on most of the articles I've been clicking on here.
Bother with 2.
Yahdaree, if you think I laid the "big words" on thick there, I feel sorry for you. They weren't "out of context"; the context is the game, which I commented on. That isn't out of context.
Secondly, there are lots of amazing, cleverly and beautifully crafted side-scrollers in existence. Just because this one looks underwhelming does not mean we should check our expectations at the door whenever we're discussing one.
Have a sup...
Was so glad to see gameplay finally. And honestly, it surpassed my expectations. Looks wonderful. Can't wait to try it.
I think there's a reason the game hasn't been featured in a conference since its original CG trailer reveal: it's probably not very good and Sony doesn't have a lot of confidence in it.
Honestly, all the gameplay they've shown has been visually inconsistent and the mechanics look underwhelming, somewhat unpolished, and disappointingly basic. I'm referring both to the combat and the environmental traversal, which is ostensibly the two halves of this gam...
I hit "agree" but I don't actually like handhelds. I have a PSTV and was hoping this game would be compatible with that (and released physically in NA).
I have much less interest in this as a PS4 game.
How about none. Their schtick was a cool novelty for a while but it's long overstayed its welcome. Repetitive, unevolving, and, apparently, risk averse. I've been over it since The Wolf Among Us (which I loved despite it not addressing any of the issues of TWD, such as a choice system nowhere as dynamic as advertised).
