Duh the PS3 has always been better value than the Xbox, when it comes down to by the time you've bought all the accessories for the 360 that you need to compete with the PS3s feature list you've spent almost double the money, if you don't believe me Sony themselves put out a table comparing the relative costs once you've spec'd out the 360 to ps3 standards.
Why do Microsoft keep trying to pretend Blu-ray isn't the better option, I know they supported HD DVD and it failed but can't they take it on the chin and just accept Blu-Ray as the defacto standard, they're acting like stroppy children determined to drive their way of thinking into everyone. Streaming of full 1080p will not be possible for everyone in the UK for the next few years at least, and even now full 1080p can only be accessed by the few who have constant internet speeds. I love my X...
the media will always find something to moan about "oh no my kid stuck semtex to our cat all becuase of MW2!!!" last year it was GTA and Mass Effect and no doubt this'll be the new one.
In a fighting game you can only go so far ,graphics wise, before it starts to affect the gameplay, fighting games could be 1080p beautiful anti-aliased games but then you wouldn't get the 60fps lghtning fast combos both casual and professional players want. its a dangerous balancing act and at the end of the day Tekken has alot of competition in the profesional fighters market and I don't think they mind sacrificing a little beauty for a smoother experience.
i understand where the reviewers are coming from but what else can you do in a fighting game that hasn't been done already. I see no problems with the devs sticking with what they know works and improving what they can. We don't moan at the Maddens or the Fifas about them being basically the same game with a new lick of paint released for full price every year. If the devs overhaled everthing in the Tekken series and got it wrong everyone would be saying why didn't they stick with what worked...
PlayTV can do HD its just Sony are waiting for HD broadcasting to become the norm, istead of it being only for people with satellite dishes ( Sky + FreeSat). I heard 2010 is when the UK is thinking about using HD as standard and then 3D will become the new HD for Sky (Sky 3D). Furthermore the only reason it has not come to the US is because Sony are yet to strike a deal with US broadcasters, as soon as they have it will come.
Sounds pretty good. I'm not a fan of multiplayer achievments either and most of this list seems doable. I'm looking forward to Spec-Ops, it'll be interesting to see how they handle it, "juggernauts" sound pretty tough to me. Seeing as GT5 has been pushed to 1st quarter 2010 i'll get this with R&C and Uncharted 2. Can anyone else from the UK tell me which site is best to preorder MW2 so I get it on,or before, release day?
All I can say is Turn 10 are very lucky they didn't relaease their poor excuse for a racing game anywhere near Gran Turismo 5. Bet Turn 10 don't feel so confident now.
Quick!!!! hide the vegamite!!!!!
The problem with M$ buying EA is that EA would lose all of its sports licenses, because the NFL, FIFA etc want as many of their games of every platform as they can get and M$ only have 1 console. All M$/EA would be left with isoriginal IPs such as Mirrors Edge and Dead Space. Not a good deal if you ask me.
sounds cool, but seeing as the release date is so far away I would expect them to include this, sorry to bring this up but Forza 3s feature list is pale in comparison to this, who do turn 10 and M$ think they're fooling?
well it's not supprising becuase most PS3 owners actually have a social life, 90% of 360 users haven't even left school yet and don't have friends.
yeah I saw one uncharted 2 advert in one of the ad breaks in Derren Browns show. Nice to see Sony finally giving their marketing department a good kick in the balls.
I'm sorry but this is BS. They said themselves that their so confident in their game they don't need a public beta or anything. And who the fcuk is Robert Bowling anyway, he's only a PR front for Infinity Ward, he's never coded a thing in his life. He does my head in.
yeah it may be quicker to create a level in Modnation but you will undoubtedly end up with more shovelware levels as a result of its ease of use. I agree LBP creation is not easy and it is precisley that that prevents people taking 2 seconds to make garbage. because of the time it takes to create a masterpiece people are forced to think first about what they're gunna make, which can only be a good thing as it results in more high quality levels for us to play through. So it being quick and ea...
I doubt they're pushing the PS3 to the limit, i know the physics involved in that type of a game require alot of processing power but i think the PS3 has a few years at least before we can truly say it has been "maxed out", especially when the art style is the way it is, it's not exactly photo reaslistic and a million polygons and counting.
the watchmen watch the watchdogs. But then who watches the watchmen?
Holy Sh!t. wow just wow, it just gets better. Can't wait for a TGS announcement!
Yeah Spring 2010 is the launch period, but that could be interpreted anywhere from Jan 1st to March 27th
I'm not suprised by the numbers really, it's what you expect for a franchise as popular as COD.I was gunna boycott but when you see the predicted sales my negligable protest won't make any impact and i'd only miss out on whats hyped as being the GOTY. But I hope Dj Hero fails, Activision need a good kick in balls from consumers.
