Mine was fine until I put them behind my back, instantly the left joycon did it just like everyone stated, not that I'm going to play with them behind my back, it's definitely a negative though as this doesn't happen to any other game pad I've ever had.
I haven't as such had any problems with mine disconnecting, well apart from when I stuck both behind my back and played, then the left joycon did keep losing connection. It's a poor design regardless, whoever said it was WiFi it's a Bluetooth connection, the problem is with the left one and it basically does it with all of them, some are worse than others but 9 out of 10 times it does happen when you put them behind your back, it's definitely a design flaw.
