I agree that it's the same thing over and over and over again, but it does do it well. I don't think inherently 'bad' but what they represent is bad, that a lazy game can produce huge success.
As for your second point i believe i covered it in the article it's self so i do agree with you.
I enjoyed CoD4, and the multiplayer was decent, it's just a shamed it was the last real progression for the franchise.

I know for certain it'll appear near , if not on, the top of another staff list. It seems people really just invested heavily into the story. Testament to how involving the story is that it papers over some of the overused elements to the game (ladders and rafts is all I'm saying!)

I think you've misunderstood. It's merely the first part of three posts on the PS4. We won't be talking about the Xbox one (at least in detail) in these posts due to the writer not owning both system, he has played on both however. This wasn't a piece to try sell the system to anyone, merely one of our guys relaying their impressions after a weekend with the console.

If you held your 'FAN BOYS! FAN BOYS!' card and actually looked at the site you'd see one article that is utterly Pro Wii U and 3DS. Thank you for fulfilling a N4G stereotype however.
For sure, the PS4 should hopefully act as a fantastic method of getting the Vita some much needed love and attention from the masses.
