All I have to say is that I downloaded Assassin's Creed (40 GB) on PS4 and it took me 2 hours. Not too bad.
The pulse elite works perfectly with the headphone jack. Mic an all. That's how I play, you can even set the PS4 to output all of the audio to the headset instead of just chat because they cover your whole ear.
I don't mind using the headphone cord to the Dualshock 4 but do look forward to the update that will allow it to go full wireless.
Yep I use my Pulse elite plugged into the controller with the headphone jack. Works perfectly.
Mine is working perfectly. I am downloading Flower, Resogun, Sound Shapes, playing Killzone and Battlefield. Synced my facebook account and tested remote play. All working just as expected.
Does this mean my Pulse Elite headset will work from day one?! This is great news if so!

I agree that social functions are more important than media functionality but there is room for both. Sony can EASILY add more media options through firmware updates just like they did with PS3. When PS3 launched it didn't have half the media capabilities as it does today.
People need to remember that consoles are no where near their prime at launch. The features will evolve and the games will start to take better advantage of the power over time.
You can't redownload XBLA games for free on Xbox One? That kind of sucks. That is one feature I am looking forward to on PS4, Flower, Flow, Escape plan etc are all games I have on PS3 and or Vita and I get to download them to my PS4 for free.
Hopefully they fix and address that in the future because you have already paid for them and should not have to pay again or revert back to 360 to play downloaded games.
They say it's recommended to play while at home on your same connection as the PS4 but I plan to try this out and about too. I can tether my phone's 4G that has awesome speeds and have my PS4 plugged into my router to eliminate wifi slowdown. Fingers crossed it works enough to play.
I have all of my games and accessories already too. (Vita, Dualshock 4, controller charger dock, PS4 camera, Killzone, Battlefield 4) Just need to walk in and pick up my paid off PS4 at the midnight launch. CAN'T WAIT!
OK, let's try this again. I mentioned it's SIZE only. Not one thing about it's power or it's capabilities. Everyone is so defensive it is rather funny.
I love how everyone attacks me as if I was insulting them personally. All I said was that the size is large. The PS4 is half the size of XBO and the PS4 camera is a fourth the size of Kinect. Prove me wrong because it is a fact.

I saw the Xbox one in person at Target the other day and it is massive. The Kinect sensor is HUGE. I just got the PS4 camera last week and it is so small in comparison.
Funny how things have changed darthv72. That is a last gen quote from the Sony fans about how console sales isn't a game you can play. It is almost word per word what they used to say.
"You play the sales game, I will be playing Uncharted, GOW, Killzone, LBP, inFamous etc."
What makes you think that given time the PS4 games won't perform better? This gap in the launch will only widen.
