Jesus Christ! Why the hell would Microsoft ban 1 million PIRATES just to get more sales? The PS3 has only been outselling the 360 for 2 months, and barely. The 360 had outsold the PS3 for 13 months straight before the Slim launched. And the 360 still has by far the best software sales of any console, which rake in most of the cash.
Too bad Sony can't get exclusive content for games that DON'T SUCK. Just Cause has a 73 on MetaCritic. LOL.

Nintendo dominated hardware sales with the unbeatable Wii and DS.
Microsoft dominated software sales with 5 games in the Top 10, versus 3 for Nintendo and 2 for Sony.
Your argument falls flat on its face because the 360's software sales are way, way, way higher than the PS3's every month. If they have nothing to buy all year, then why does the 360 always have the most tiles in the Top 10 selling games each month? Exclusives sell better on the 360, multiplatforms sell better on the 360, everything sells better on the 360.
And next year, 360 owners will be able to buy the following: Mass Effect 2, The Secret World, APB, BioShock 2, Crackdown 2, ...
If there are 300,000 people on MW2 online on the PS3, then there must be at least 2.5 million online on the 360 version.

How exactly could the PS3 possibly catch up to the 360 in sales? It is now about 7 million units behind, and a complete relaunching of the system, with a $100 price drop, new ad campaign, and a bunch of killer exclusives only cut into the 360's lead by 1 million units.
So now the PS3 will only need 7 more $100 price drops and complete relaunchings to catch up to the 360. And the 360 is still totally dominating in software sales.
Yeah. Well, the 360 version at least. The inferior PS3 version got a 7.5.
