I dig their point that knowing too much can lessen the impact of a game, but Halo 3 isn't a good example. There were many other reasons (eg the gameplay, graphics, story) why people were disappointed by it other than the ridiculous amount of hype and coverage .

What a joke. XBL is the laggy one, not PSN. Most PSN games have dedicated servers, unlike XBL which is all P2P. That's why you can have 60 players lag free on PSN while XBL lags like hell with 8. Ever heard of the GeOW host advantage? Even P2P runs smoother on PSN. I play lag-free with 24 players on player hosted servers all the time.

Well it is a complicated story, but what do you expect from a series spanning multiple 20+ hour games with interesting characters, ideas, ect. Complication isn't a bad thing anyway. I'm a complicated man, and the ladies can't get enough of me.
