If they ever release an official apple controller for the iPad or Apple TV they will dominate. But tablets will never take the place of consoles.
Sony has a tried and true history of supporting consoles after a generation. Microsoft does not, those are the facts.
I prefer the idea of a ps4 dongle that you attach to a ps4 to allow backwards compatibility a better idea. Those that want bc will pay extra for the feature, those that keep their current system won't have to incur the costs.

Sony heads are not idiots, they know if they implement blocking used games there will be a huge backlash. People hate feeling like their rights are taken away, consumers won't buy things they feel constrict them.
