I dont believe Microsoft could get away with not including the cable in the box. 30m+ 360s have to buy an extra cable after purchasing their Kinect to make it work.

The Wii is so cheap because its a bag of crap. Both the PS3 and the 360 can do so much more.

Red Dead Redemption is a real bummer.
I started playing RDR on the PS3 got about 15 hours in, thought it was a really good looking game.
Then one morning the 360 version landed on my doorstep which I rented just so I could see the differences.
My jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw it running on the 360, it looks 100 times better, shaper, cleaner, hardly any pop-in, smoother.
Never went back to the PS3 version after that. No ...
Its a shame they couldnt get that price down anymore. I think this would do loads more at a £99.99. Perception between £99.99 and £129.99 is huge.
But Patcher said it would cost $50 (£40 approx).

Thank god!! The controls are they only reason why I never went back and played KZ2 after completion. They were so unresponsive, I just couldnt get used to them at all. I had to play the game on easy.
The only reasoning behind the PS3 Slim was cost. Where as the 360 slim is a more sleek and advanced unit then the original 360, the PS3 Slim seems like a downgrade from its fatty parent.
What about Zombies?
Rubbish - I just checked Ebay and one just sold for £21 ($35) with 4 games and 2 controllers.
Because its a known fact of the industry. Its why MS, Sony & Nintendo sell their consoles at such a low margin, and even below cost on some occassions.

Im not complaining. I myself purchased a Slim to upgrade (which by the way is awesome!!!) Even quieter than the PS3 now
Platform holders make the bulk of their profit from game sales. If there are no new adopters then there game sales remain unchanged.
Biggest sellers on the 360 pages of Amazon and Play recently have been the 360 slim at number 1. and the HDD Migration kit at number 2.
I dount theres as much new 360 adopters as you think. Alot of 360 purchases will be those people who are upgrading
What annoys me about these video game sites is that they trashed Lost Odyssey when it first came out. I remember comments like "Old JRPG formula getting stale" and "they need something new".
Then FFXIII comes out which does everything new and different, so the critics say "its too detatched from the formula", and "we miss the old school JRPG".
Both are fantasic games
Sony did not loose "billions of dollars" on the PS3 as the article states. If they did Sony as a company would be well and truely finished beyond belief. The operating profit of the entire company for 2008 was around $2billion.
They must be confusing Dollars with Yen or Billions with Millions
Its cool but I doubt it will hit the mainstream. At least not in the next 7-10 years.
