I really enjoy the dark souls games but really not enjoying elder ring, been playing about 10hrs in and just find it boring, its not got the same lore and is more of a hack n slash.
This is just my opinion, but I don't class this as a souls game, I'd give it a 6/10.

I'm about 7hrs in on elder ring but I'm just not feeling it, I loved the dark souls games but this just doesn't have the same crunch to it.
It feels more like a hack n slash and the enemy lock on is atrocious, you lock on to an enemy and star fighting then all of a sudden it will change a lock on to a dam bird 50 metres away.
You can't say we'll this is not like dark souls because it has the same lay out in the menus and controls and even the upgrading.

I own both and have done throughout the generations but I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I switched on my ps5 or 4 as my xbox series x is keeping me more than occupied
I always kept looking at ground zero but wasn't sure so did not buy it, then it came to game pass I downloaded it and started last week, can't get enough of it, really good game.
This is why I like game pass, I try games I wouldn't normally play.
I've had covid and I can it wasn't that bad, just flu like symptoms.
But I've have 2 jabs and the booster, people who live opposite me are against the vaccine and not had any jabs, they have both caught covid and are now really suffering to the point 1 of them got rushed to hospital and is now on a ventilator, they both have no underlying health issues either
I also have both but put my ps5 in my retro collection still sealed in the hope years down the line it would be worth quite a bit
I have a ps5 since day 1 and never played it, probably because I've not even taken the ps5 out of its box and is still sealed.
I've put it with all my retro consoles in the hope many years from now it will be worth a pretty penny

I'm loving halo infinite its a massive improvement than halo 5 which I felt was really bad I also loved TLOU but not TLOU 2 that game was a train wreck.

Phantasy star should be on that list
I preferred doom 3, I did love doom but liked the story and suspense of doom 3.

I've not had any issues with quick resume at all, I put gta5 in my xsx after not playing for 2 months and it put me straight back to where I left off.
The first TLOU is in my top 5 games along with halo 1,3, dead space 1, phantasy star 2.
But the tlou 2 was a real let down with way to many pointless flashbacks and a way over drawn story, I really had to force myself to play through the first part thinking the games was nearly finished and then found out I had another 8hrs+ playing as abby.
I did not finish the game, went no YouTube to watch the ending.

Drop cross play with pc, I was all for cross play but didn't want pc included, 2 of my mates alway brag about how they cheat on war zone
I love the dark souls games but elden ring just don't feel like a souls game, it feels more like a hack n slash with no really direction.
I'm finding it very boring and mediocre at best.
I've stopped playing it now and it's gone in my retro collection boxes where it will stay.
I've put about 15hrs into it and it's just not getting any better.
