I actually prefer CoD way of dlc because its always easy to find a game whether you have dlc or not I know a lot of people who don't pick up the Cod dlc and still play the game every year. Destiny pretty much put up a paywall and restricted content from a lot of its core players I don't personally have game but brother does and he basically was forced to buy maps because all his friends had it and left him behind.
