in my opinion You must done something and show it that it actually works and then aprove patent rather just think about it and patent. US Patents are horrible idea.
Omega is right, uncharted , gow, rachet and other platform/hack and slash games won't sell much.
BUT...
in PS2 times this variety of titles made almost 130 mln+ ps2 audience. For anyone was right game. You wanted open world ? San andreas gta etc. You wanted hack & slash ? gow, dmc etc jRPg ? FFs, etc Racing games ? NFS GT ? etc etc etc etc.

lol... seriously GT5 :::::PROLOGUE::::: sold almost 4 milion till now.. every gt game sold more than combined gow1 and gow2 and probably gow3.
4 milions and it's just a prologue to full game. IN EU in every top10 selling games for ps3 is gt5P. Here in Poland is the same.. 1st Prologue 2nd Fifa 3rd Infamous. EU is crazy in love over GT franchise.

dude Gt4 was compared to GT3 ONLY. When GT4 was out, there was no Forza title yet

Racing game is all about cars and tracks dude you can't deny it.
Gt4 was compared to GT3 dude because didn't had competition at all. So just play your Forza2 or Forza 3 enyoy it and stop whining about other games.

if game looks good, resolution and polygons doesn't matter. You can create game that have xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx polygons and best possible resolution but without good art direction, game will look like crap.
Good list and good descriptions. I also fear that GoW3 will be nothing more than GoW2 + new missions and better graphic.

If you don't see a diffrence on 40' tv between 720p and 1080p You are blind not I. Geez people even use 2560x1800 on smaller screens..
Menus are waaay better in Sigma on 1080p and they aren't streethed as in 1080 upscaled games..
maybe educate yourself first ? ...

replays looks better only in 3rd flying camera. Standard camera for hood, in car, over car etc have the same graphic like in game...
