VII isn't all that dated. Nostalgia is a bi%%h but still you see that things like too long summon cutscenes
VI is super dated and i don't mean hard. It's just there isn't any deep mechanics in that game. I'm currently playing on my PSP and battles feels like chore. I play it mainly for a story.

FFVII would't be considered by fans "the best FF" if it didn't had good story.

But creating story above gameplay can make your game immortal.

Well some parts are heavy moddeded but calling it new engine is like calling updated Source in Portal2 a Source 2 engine.
Even mod menager from Fallout new vegas work with it with some changes ...
To me they should now improve:
- Animation system (it was good in 2005 ...)
- Mayor tweak to streaming engine (Loadings in homes and dungeons)
- Magic,crafting,loot and armor parts should be more complex ...
well skyrim isn't shoddy port at all. It looks great and run well.

As i see in this mod dude will get some quality server for coop and pvp.
yeah and it works. Trying to play on pad in multi is suecide. People using mics are 3 time faster than people on pad.
Still there is mayor obstacle for two cchoices (motion and voice recognition)
1. Space
2. How loud you can get on night.
I simply can't play End War on night because it is annoying to other people.
In my opinion they should focus on head tracking rather than voice and motion recognition in genera...

nope those lands are generated on fly. You could walk for ever if you want but those lands would be some random forests and plains Skyrim type even in hammerfell.
Same was in Oblivion
