I think the 'deception' part refers to Sir Francis Drake. Nathan Drake is on his trail again and he will uncover something his ancestor did that brought down an empire.
If my memory serves me right the 'Fortune' in Drakes Fortune also referred the Sir Francis Drake instead of Nathan.

I actually prefer the interactive comic over ME1. ME1 had a great story but also plenty of dull moments. (MAKO exploration, weak gunplay)
ME2 is the better game IMO, why would I want to have a lesser game on my system when I can have all the advantages of said game without having to play it again.
Rather kick back and scroll through an interactive comic honestly, if the art style is sweet then thats extra icing on the cake.
