Ha wow
^ "Just accept it and bend over"
No shit, wow..
That's alright though, there's usually a setting (HBAO, DoF etc.) that is not noticeable in the slightest yet has a huge fps impact. Sometimes tuning shader or shadows from ultra to high does the trick too
No it's actually a cool idea. Not able to change advanced settings but have the 2 options. 30 or 50 (50 is still pretty damn smooth)
This.
On my games I like to tune the settings so that I get ~45 fps average, the trade-off is so worth it and allows for dips to go unnoticed.
Of course I always have v-sync off, hardly ever see screen tearing
I harp on about high fps alot, but it's true some games you just walk through and gaze at the detail.. good thing for good PCs, they can have the max detail + smoothness and it's amazing
The amount of agrees on some fully incorrect comments is baffling.
You went into the dev console and typed /max_fps 30 lol
It might be your hard drive.. I had the same problem after recording 60 fps through FRAPS
Edit: actually mine was a buffering problem
Sudden rush of nostalgia :]
In a way yes because we'd only just seen these characters, and it seems sudden. I feel once it's in the context of the game though it'll flow smoother
AMD also gave me more problems. Mind you I RMA'd my card and got an upgrade, my HD6850 now is problem free, albeit outdated now
It definitely wowed me, they seemed to have made the glare much more natural too. All that lighting, the particles you see around the heli-shooting scene is amazing. The animations are alot smoother, faces included. The textures and details have been ramped up a bit too!
Edit: I'm loving the added depth with characters
I swear the animation got very smoothed out! It's looking spectacular O_O
Yeah, I think it was more to the general map designs of BF3 that lead to that. I loved BC2 maps and destructibility
The features are built from the ground up :P
DoomeDx and Skate, that is some real narrow minded thinking
Grab it on PC, play it in person. It's a beauty
I still have my i7 920!
