There is way too many games in the same genre that play very similar. I think what it all comes down to is one developer is scared another developer is doing it better.
Fortnite played it smart by implementing it's building formula, looting system is a little different, and the graphics and overall gameplay is different.
It won't be long until Infinite Ward, EA, etc... Start wanting there piece of the BR pie.
Xbox 1up, makes sense because that's what they are trying to do against the PlayStation lol. All joking aside they need to at least keep the ONE in the name to assure people that it is just an upgrade not something completely different. They could even do something with the 1up name and say it's the abbreviation for the 1 ultimate platform?

PS4 is a beautiful console with lots of exclusives and it is definitely something to be proud of but saying another console is struggling because it's XX million copies sold doesn't equal the competition...HA
With X1 games and now ps4 games confirmed coming to the PC this year, I just see consoles becoming less exclusive in 2017.
Well considering PlayStation jumped on the windows bandwagon, I don't see ps4 having too many relevant exclusives that you can't play on pc. So many disappointed people playing list wars this year lol. Rip.

Why get mad over such a flop of a game. The first one sucked and now everyone was cancelling preorders because of the terrible beta. The most preordered game right now is an Xbox exclusive, "Gears of War 4" anyways. PS4 can pick up the sloppy seconds of Titanfall anyday.
Scorpio may do alot better than most people think especially if they have a trade up program for your old Xbox one. Let's face it though, even if the console is the most powerful, people are going for price not specs. Sony has been successful only because they sell cheap hardware. Let's get real here, the exclusives aren't much better and the PSN isn't worth what it costs. Cheap hardware wins and that's sad.
It is a standard to have Xbox live and PSN with your consoles nowadays but you don't have to turn around and spend another $60 for a free to play game. So yes it IS free if your not purchasing the game. I bet you were dropped alot as an infant.

The ps4 isn't killing anything anytime soon. Matter of fact they are losing momentum. Xbox one is outselling the ps4 2 months straight now. Xbox usually dominates the holiday seasons every year and just when you think the Xbox will lose momentum, the Scorpio will be released to pick it back up again for awhile. Sure Sony leads the market in sales ATM, but they are falling behind on specs when the biggest thing about the ps4 was it was more powerful......not anymore.
Alot of people saying they don't care about lack of 4k and Blu-ray is expected but your defending a console that was made for a premium purpose and yet there is nothing premium about it. Get your head out of your rear already. Also somebody mentioned ps4 must be doing something right, because sales are higher than Xbox. So that makes it ok for PlayStation to get sloppy with there hardware? Ps4 is gonna accumulate a bad rep for worst gaming community with that attitude.
At this point, I could care less what multiplayer looks like. Not buying any CoD games until they go back to actual military gameplay. MW3 was the last CoD I played .
So when Battlefront was released everybody said it was Battlefield with a star wars skin, Now Battlefield 1 is skinned from Star Wars. The idiots are a cancer to the gaming community. Let me guess, Infinite Warfare doesn't look like Star Wars, smh
They also said the campaign is more open world and non linear so I bet each mission could take hours. Also they could have mission 1 chapter1, mission 1 chapter 2 etc... Who really knows? Battlefield is known for large scale multiplayer anyways and I'm totally fine with awesome multiplayer.
I think the main selling point for Nintendo was being able to play your games on the go. So porting some older games to the switch was for the sake of portability and it's not like people DoNT play Skyrim anymore (sarcasm).
