Poor reputation and marketing. That's my take.
Reputation killed Sega and in the same way it killed Killzone since the beginning. I played Killzone 2 and 3 and based on what I have played and the things I have read on the other similar article I just can believe some of the atrocities some people are saying. Killzone has crap graphics, Killzone is generic, Killzone has crap gameplay?

I would like to support the re-releases to ensure a sequel but man... I already have both games for my PS2. I bought the GOW re-release and they barely looked any better than the PS2 version. The PS2 version already looked very nice with 480p and 16:9 support. =/
The only way I would buy a re-release is because I never owned it for my PS2 like the Silent Hill series, I only bought the first for the PS1.

Because now games take more time and money to make. On top of that big publishers like EA and Ubisoft only publish games that they think are going to sell well and that's why we're sailing in a sea of shooters. Japanese games are selling worse than ever and only a couple of small companies like Atlus and NIS dare to publish game overseas that aren't big names like "Resident Evil" or "Final Fantasy".

built-in doesn't exactly mean that the camera will be in it. It could be that the body tracking and stuff that does the calculations are built-in on the console while you need an external camera like the psEye to take advantage of it.

I kinda agree with her point but honestly? I think that any game company would love to trade places with Nintendo if they could. Sony tried o push the MOVE but it didn't give the same results so they just went back to what they do best, put their first party devs to make more exclusives. MS had more luck with Kinect and now they are abandoning the hard-core little by little.

Carmack didn't create OpenGL, from where are you getting that info? OpenGL is the rival API to DirectX and it was created by Khronos Group. Carmack was the number 1 supporter of the API but as of late he switched to DirectX.

I have played a bit of the first GeoW and it felt like I was playing with a tank, or a robot while UC is more agile. Then you add the aspect of verticality, plus, the charm of the story and characters and in my opinion:
UC series > GeoW. Even when it comes to MP. The fact that you can climb/jump and stuff it instantly makes it the better game to me due to its versatility and variable approach.
the cel-shading is fine, what I don't like is when they make a game with child Link. I always prefer the adult one because that way you can see the sword and shield looking nice and detailed instead of scaling it back to look appropriate for his size.
Child Link sword always look like a butter-knife and his head is bigger than the rest of his body. Not cool. =/
