I am with you on that! I am actually debating either getting an AMD Threadripper 1950X or wait for the rest of Intel's 12 Core lineup. I plan on gaming and streaming at the same time. Also do a little 3D work.
As much as I would love to see this, not going to happen. Licensing alone is going to kill it.
When will people understand that true 4K is only achievable via PC gaming? The cost to get 4K gaming is high, thus why consoles will never hit true 4K.
Yep, as stated above. If you can afford it, get the systems that have the games you enjoy. I am a fighting game fan and I have a gaming PC, a PS4 Pro, XB-1 S, Nintendo Switch, modded Wii and Neo Geo. Each getting plenty of play too.
ARESWARLORD - This is a good comment. I agree that for 1080p, you can get pretty much anything with 4GB of GDDR5 RAM. I am running 4K and moved from a 980TI to the 1080TI and could not be more happier with my decision.
Should run just fine on my rig then. Can't wait!

They have to keep the hype train moving. There is already talk of why the need for the XB1X console in the first place. It does not help either that MS is also putting out the same games for Windows 10 users.
MS really need to stop trying to compare XB1X to PCs. Everyone knows that a premium PC runs a 1080TI card and can handle 4K 60FPS with ease.

If I am correct, the CPU on the XB1X is still an eight core 'Jaguar" class cpu, right? Only that it is clocked higher at 2.3GHz. Bungie stating that Destiny 2 will run at 30 FPS on both consoles is not that surprising. I Doubt it is due to Sony, but hey, you never know. What a crock. They are using these settings as example very well knowing that the detail graphic settings on both are not maxed out. Most consoles even today have graphical settings set to medium at best to maintain a 60 FPS. To me it is more like Radeon RX 480 graphics cards and not GeForce 1070's.
I am fine with it not appearing at E3. Uncharted Lost Legacy looked great! Can't wait for TLOU 2!
