I wonder if Microsoft is allowing indie developers to develop X1 apps as well as games. With every X1 being a dev kit that means every developer will have open access to Kinect and I think there is a lot of potential there for some interesting apps as well.

"A retirement announcement seems strange, considering if he had CONFIDENCE that the company was going uphill and would continue to do so in the foreseeable future, he would likely stick around a little longer to maximize his 401k reserves"
The man is worth over $15 billion dollars. Saying he would stay longer to max out his 401K reserve doesn't seem plausible.
Also, someone deciding to retire does not mean the compa...

@Angeljuice
Mass Effect 3 multiplayer has something almost exactly like this in place where you can use XP to buy packs that have guns & upgrades or you can use actual currency to buy the packs if you don't want to grind it out getting XP. This system is in place on both 360 and PS3
So, is Sony milking people and are they an awful company with no morality as well?
The hate in this thread is hilarious.
microtransactions and booster packs for online games have been around for YEARS on all formats (console, PC, mobile) but when it's announced a game that is exclusive to XB1 has microtransactions then all of a sudden people are up in arms about it and calling MS greedy for 'raping gamers' according to allformats.
Where was it reported this is a timed exclusive that will be released on other consoles in a year?
From what I read the X1 was designed to be "always on" so even in very low power states it would still generate some heat that would wear down on the internal components over a long period of time. Having the power source external takes that worry out of the equation.
"Why is this happening? Because MS are the ones who created such hate."
So a PS fan posts a racist comment on a YouTube video but it's Microsoft's fault for getting them mad in the first place.
Uh huh
